Welcome to the International Building Physics Toolbox, a  Library of  Simulink blocks specially designed for HAM system analyses in Building Physics.

This project has been initiated in 2002 by two research teams: Building Physics Department from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden,  and  Department of Civil Engineering from Technical University of Denmark.

Our ambition is to make this toolbox available to all researchers in this area and to invite them to contribute in it. In order to achieve this, we have created this website as a virtual meeting point on the Internet where we will publish the library file, manuals and documents.

Over the time the model libraries have been substantially developed, in different directions and by different users. For example, there is a library for the simulation of VOCs in indoor air, a hybrid 3D models for thermal analyses of the floor heating system, etc.  Unfortunatelly, we haven't been able to keep a proper update about each development. Some ideas about the work that has been done so far can be seen through the published articles (in the documentation folder) or through the course material (see downloads).

As from the beginning, all ibpt models are available for free downolading.

Unfortunatelly, for technical reasons and for the first time since it has started, the ibpt webpage was not available for couple of months during the summer 2011. The page is currently under re-construction. Meanwhile, the downloads from the previous page are available through www.byggnadsteknologi.se.
